Industry and Academic Collaboration:

IIITs work toward fostering the research and development activities by engaging with various institutes, industry and other institutes of higher learning for collaborative research, lectures and symposia, exchange of scholars and researchers, exchange of graduate and under-graduate students, exchange of information and materials in fields which are interest to other academic institutions and research labs. IIITs also aim to develop international research networks with multi-disciplinary partners locally and abroad and for its key research concentrations.

The focus of our collaboration is to understand the societal needs and generate new ideas for creating innovative solutions for designing and manufacturing products. In this endeavour, all IIITs work closely with their industry partners to fulfil the objective of adding value to their products and services by bringing in innovative, timely and cost effective solutions for the societal benefits.

IIITs organise workshops, symposia and conferences every year to provide a forum for Industry-Academia interactions, and Industries are invited to present areas where they would seek research assistance from IIITs. IIITs also share the on-going R&D projects and the current advancements in technology with industries to explore the areas of common interests. IIITs have a conducive environment for collaboration with industry through joint research projects and consultancies.

Currently several industries are working with faculties and students across IIITs on various projects of mutual interest. A few of our Industry partners are: Hitachi, Toshiba, Amada, Okuma, Sumitomo Metals and GE Energy etc. (This is IIITDM Jabalpur related information, Other collaborative name of the industries need to be added here)
